You are invited to an opportunity to hear wonderful music, hear about the Topeka Rescue Mission, and enjoy a dinner out, all in one evening!

Joshua Messick, National 2003 Hammer Dulcimer Champion, will be presenting a concert for us on Saturday evening, November 18th, at the Midland Ministries Building, 424 Oregon, in Hiawatha from 6:00-8:30ish

Joshua is the Children’s Ministries Director at the Topeka Rescue mission, and Anna and I met him on a recent visit to the mission. Always on the lookout for good music, we bought his CD and then attended a concert. What a blessing it was! He’s very talented, passionate about music and his work at the mission, and loves the Lord. He will also interest and challenge the young people in the audience.

Dinner will include a pizza buffet for pizza lovers, young and old, as well as Sam Blythe’s Smoked Beef and side dishes for those who don’t want pizza.

There is no cost for the concert or the meal. A donation basket will be provided and you may give if you wish. Joshua will be giving a significant portion of your donations to the rescue mission, and we will also give a gift to Midland Ministries for the use of their building and to encourage their ministry with area young people.

As an added bonus for your evening, David Profitt, Volunteer Coordinator and past guest of the Topeka Rescue Mission, will be sharing his story. I know you will be as spellbound as we are at the work of the Lord in both David’s family and in Joshua’s life.

Our goals for the evening are to introduce Joshua Messick to our area and share melodious music, encourage the staff at Midland Ministries, give our friends an opportunity to support the homeless shelter, encourage the prayers of God’s people for His work, and provide a nice evening out with food and fellowship.

RSVPs will be necessary so that we can plan seating and food. Please RSVP as soon as possible, but we’ll still take reservations up to the day of the concert.

Feel free to invite everyone you know! We have room to serve about 250 people!

May the Lord bless your day! Mary and Anna Flin
