I’ve often heard this quote:

Integrity is doing what is right, when nobody is looking.

I do not find fault with this statement, but I’ve never been left with the impression that it is complete. Today, I thought of an amendment to the saying that I think completes it.

Integrity is doing what is right, when nobody is looking, and holding to what is right when someone is.

Peer pressure causes the sacrifice of integrity in ways that no person would when alone.
